MASSAGE THERAPY AFTER LIPOSUCTION AND TUMMY TUCK | 1 Day Post-Op | Dr. Jason Emer

Today Dr. Emer's massage therapist performs a lymphatic drainage massage on a female patient 1 day after HDlLiposuction and tummy tuck.

This female patient is a mother that noticed some sagging and skin looseness after having children. In addition, she had lipedema which is disproportionate fat and cellulite in her legs. In order to get her the best outcome, Dr. Emer performed a combination of 360 HD-Lipo treatments to remove the excess fat and simultaneously tighten the skin. The fat extracted was later reinjected into the desired areas of her buttock and hips to accentuate the shape she already had and get rid of the hip dip. Dr. Emer's partner plastic surgeon performed a tummy tuck to tighten her abdominal muscles by performing corset muscle plication. Hanging skin was also removed during the tummy tuck to give her a more defined #EmerHourglass look.

Lymphatic drainage massage is performed by a massage therapist where the excess lymph fluid in the lymph nodes are pushed out through drains that cleanse the body of any blood and toxins remaining after surgery to promote blood flow and help the body heal faster. This treatment also helps prevent scar tissue, lymphomas, seromas, and fluid sacs from building up.

Doing regular post-op treatments in the first 2 weeks after surgery are essential in speeding up the healing process, preventing any complications, and boosting the final results for the patient. This treatment can be combined with other post-op procedures such as hyperbaric chamber, IV therapy, and hormonal optimization with @drjillstocker. After a month or two, patients can begin to exercise regularly again to maintain the new physique and we highly recommend a healthy diet to be paired along with the exercise to keep the body of their dreams for the long term.
