Pattaya, Thailand

Pattaya, Thailand is about 2 hours south east of Bangkok and easy to get to via buses that run every half hour from the east bus Terminal. You can also get a bus from the Bangkok Airport.
So what can you expect from Pattaya? The first thing that we noticed is that there is a considerable amount of more westerners than Bangkok. The long and short of it is that it’s a tourist destination, with nice beaches, the seaside resort has a lot of good priced hotels on the beach, western food chains dotted all the way along the coast, as well as Thai monuments and temples.
And for a night out, it’s outstanding, there’s an endless amount of bars, including The Walking Street which has all sorts of shows, live music and other interesting sights.
It’s a place that leaves you wanting more, we originally only went for 3 days but stayed a couple more to fit a bit of everything in. Like Bangkok, there’s so much to do, but you have the option to lay on the beach all day here!
The heat is incredible, but not too hot. you an quite happily swim in the sea and not feel uncomfortable, it’s surprising how warm the sea actually is.
It’s a place that we are really looking forward to returning to for another few days in 3 months time and one that we’re sure anyone would enjoy Pattaya, Thailand!
