Chindukuru village in Gadivemula mandal was plunged into gloom after the Supreme Court awarded life sentence to nine people, in a case involving factional assassinations in 1992. District SP Gopinath Jatti visited the village and interacted with the villagers on Wednesday. The SP said that he beefed up security in the village as faction issues might erupt following the verdict. Additional police force was deployed in the village. Four persons, including Sivarami Reddy, Ayyapu Reddy, Rami Reddy and Kambagiri Ramudu, lost life when an explosive was hurled at them at Kandukur village in 1992 as a revenge to a factional demise.
