As a foreigner who went to explore the Bangkok nightlife, it is very important that you prepare yourself and educate yourself about Thailand. Soi Cowboy, Nana Plaza and Thermae Cafe our areas that are a little bit more dangerous than other places since there's so much more shady behavior going on a day-to-day basis. Thai girls are very beautiful but can also be very manipulative. I wouldn't say that you should shy away from getting a Thai girlfriend but please keep this in mind and you will be fine.
